Bio

An Asia economist, Daniel has since been involved in macro strategy and consulting work for Fortune 500 companies (Unicorn companies included), sovereign wealth funds, multilaterals organizations, government think-tanks and financial institutions, which include Philip Morris International, PT Hankaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk, Grab Holdings Ltd, Korea Institute of International Economic Policy, and more. Daniel holds advisory roles and is onboard the investment committees for several Family Offices in Asia, which include Luminor Capital - a Multi Family Office and Private Equity Group in Singapore. He currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer for SD PMS Asia Green Fund - a sub fund under SD PMS Umbrella VCC which invests primarily in green energy assets across Asia ex China. He is also the Executive Director of SD Group Asia, and the Board Advisor for the Green Expertise Council. His previous appointments include the General Counsel for PT. Limas Tunggal Group of Companies - an investment holding company (with headquarter in Jakarta and representative offices in the U.S., China, India and Singapore) whose diversified assets include property, commodities and energy -, and the Power Attorney for Hana Motors Joint Stock Company - a EV company in Vietnam who is the pioneer in electric motorbike technology. On his academic portfolio, he currently serves as the adjunct faculty for National University of Singapore (Strategy and Policy, NUS Business School) and Singapore Management University (School of Economics). Earlier, he served as the associate faculty with Singapore University of Social Sciences (formerly UniSIM) and was one of the appointed associate lecturers for the MBA programme of Edinburgh Business School, where he coached C-suites in Myanmar. Previously, Daniel was the Head of Asia at 4CAST Ltd - a London-based leading market intelligence firm, providing real-time analysis on the foreign exchange, fixed income and money markets for the world’s top financial institutions and key central banks. And he was the Regional Economist at Centennial Group International, a Washington-based global strategic and policy advisory firm that assists governments, international financial institutions and corporations in their reform and economic development efforts.
